After qualifying I had to change my kart, because it was declared non-compliant in technical inspection So I competed with a more powerful 5 speed engine kart. After first round, the judges decided to resume that stage arguing that some pilots were substituted by their better colleagues , considering that at that time there were no pictures on the card. So I managed to climb from last but one place in the grid to number 3, place that I kept until the last lap when a mistake at a 90 degree curve to the left made me twist and thus lose 2 position, thus qualifying me in the quarter finals where I did not finish the race due to problems with my engine gears. However i managed the best result from Oradea's team that year, and that start from the second first round in wich I passed 4 or 5 opponents on the first straight line was called by my colleagues, and I quote: "That was a start like Sena's! ". |
